ILEC Events - 2011

March 25-26,An Introduction to Teaching Legal English. This two day training course consists of seven 90-minute workshops run by Matt Firth, co-author of Introduction to International Legal English and the International Legal English-based PLEAD blended learning course. The course also includes short presentations by Cambridge University Press and Cambridge ESOL. It uses original material developed with the specific needs of teachers new to Legal English in mind and provides an essential introduction for teachers interested in teaching for the Cambridge International Legal English Certificate (ILEC).

TransLegal, Cambridge ESOL and Cambridge University Press will be hosting three one-day teacher training sessions in July.

The sessions will be run by Amy Krois-Lindner and Matt Firth, and will include work in the following areas:

Free ILEC Pretesting
Pretesting gives ILEC candidates a chance to try their Reading, Listening and Writing skills in an ILEC examination environment before the actual test. Pretesting takes place at various locations. And, of course, the pretest takers get a free assessment of their skills from Cambridge ESOL. For further information regarding pretesting, please contact the Pretesting Administrator.
